Why Your Driveway Looks Dirty Again a Month After Pressure Washing

It's one of the most common things we hear on quotes: “I paid a guy to pressure wash this in the spring, and it already looks like this again.” The homeowner assumes Florida is just like that. Florida is not just like that — the wash was.

Here's the thing nobody explains at the cheap price point: the gray-green cast on Florida concrete is alive. Algae and mildew colonize the pores of the surface, not just the top of it. A pressure washer alone — even a powerful one — is a lawnmower for that growth: it shaves off everything visible and leaves the roots in the pores, damp and undisturbed.
